Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT)

Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT) is a powerful low-dose chemotherapy cancer treatment that allows clients to experience few to no side effects.

Insulin Potentiation Therapy

Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT), also known as low-dose or fractionated chemotherapy, uses insulin to make cell membranes more permeable to accept chemotherapy more effectively. The increased receptivity of the patient’s cells to the chemotherapy allows doctors to use approximately 10-15% of the amount of chemotherapy that traditional oncologists commonly prescribe, thus decreasing the side effects of conventional chemotherapy.

Although Insulin Potentiation Therapy has been around for many years, it is still relatively unknown to many in the general public. But patients who have undergone this treatment often report that it helps them deal with the effects of traditional chemotherapy while still delivering reliable results against their cancer.

At Anatara Medicine, we believe that IPT is a critical part of our integrative cancer treatment program.

The History and Development of Insulin Potentiation Therapy

Insulin Potentiation Therapy has been around since the 1930s when Dr. Donato Perez Garcia first developed this innovative treatment. Since then, many other doctors have continued to refine and improve upon this type of cancer treatment, making it a safe and effective way to manage side effects while still delivering strong results against various forms of cancer.

We firmly believe that it can help anyone fighting cancer get the best possible treatment effect while minimizing traditional chemotherapy’s downsides.

Which Cancers Respond to Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT)?

While any cancer can technically respond to IPT, certain types show more favorable results. Some of the most common cancers that respond well to Insulin Potentiation Therapy include breast cancer, lung cancer, colon/rectal cancer, lymphoma, prostate cancer, and melanoma.

What is the RGCC Blood Test?

Before a patient begins IPT treatment, they typically receive an RGCC blood test, an innovative test that uses next-generation sequencing analysis on DNA and RNA to provide clinicians with crucial insights into their cancer. This test measures Circulating Tumor Cells and gives our practitioners the information necessary to know which therapeutics and drugs your cancer will best respond to. We can provide you with a tailored, personalized treatment plan based on these results.

How Frequent are IPT Treatments?

IPT treatments are usually scheduled twice weekly for three weeks (3 weeks=1 phase).

The treatment uses an insulin IV drip followed by your tailor-made low-dose intravenous chemotherapy treatment. Patients are closely monitored throughout their IPT treatment cycle.

IV Therapies

In addition to your IPT treatments, you will receive additional intravenous (IV) therapies before, after, and throughout the IPT phases.

Vitamin C IV Drip

Vitamin C IV Therapy

Patients who receive IPT treatment commonly receive a Vitamin C IV immediately following their low-dose chemotherapy since Vitamin C complements the effects of the IPT. Vitamin C has been shown to cause oxidative damage in cancer cells, which is how some classic chemotherapy agents work to kill cancer along with radiation therapy. To be used most effectively, Vitamin C needs to be received intravenously instead of orally since the kidneys maintain a specific level of Vitamin C and get rid of most of it quickly.

ozone molecule

Ozone Therapy IVs

Ozone IVs are received the day following their IPT treatment. When ozone breaks down in the blood, hydrogen peroxide—an important reactive oxygen species—is quickly produced. Once hydrogen peroxide penetrates red blood cells and endothelial cells, there is an increase in the delivery and release of oxygen by red cells toward tissues, particularly hypoxic tumor areas. Additionally, hydrogen peroxide in the blood increases the efficiency with which the body eliminates oxidants. To varying degrees, cancer usually compromises the body’s ability to detoxify itself, and Ozone IVs initiate and aid detoxification.

Glutathione

A Glutathione injection is given in conjunction with ozone IV therapy. Glutathione is a major antioxidant that helps protect cells from free radical damage.

Other IV Therapies

Many other cutting-edge IVs are available, and the practitioners will tailor your IVs throughout your treatment phase.

We also add weekly blood draws to check various cancer markers, blood counts, etc. We may also recommend specific supplements based on these tests, your symptoms, and your progress.

Additional Supportive Therapies

In addition to meeting with Dr. Herskowitz, patients at Anatara typically consult the other doctors on our Team, who specialize in lifestyle modifications and natural therapies to induce self-healing, including homeopathic medicine, European complementary medicine, clinical nutrition, Qi Gong, and more.

Patients may receive one or more of the following as part of their treatment plan:

Photodynamic Laser Therapy

Photodynamic Laser Therapy (PTD)

Photodynamic Laser Therapy (PTD) (if appropriate for you) is typically used with your IPT. The principle is to use light-sensitive drugs, which, once in the blood, enter the tumor and then are exposed to the PTD, become active, thereby killing the tumor cells.

Pulse Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy (PEMF)

Pulse Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy (PEMF)

Pulse Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) device is typically used before receiving IV treatment, whether it be Vitamin C, ozone, or IPT. This treatment lasts up to 30 minutes and is designed to reenergize damaged cells and open them to receive the IV treatment. It may be used as a detoxing device and can also induce the positive effects of exercise for those who are physically unable to exercise.

Bemer PEMF Therapy

Bemer PEMF

Bemer PEMF – we also offer Bemer sessions, similar to the PEMF, only the Bemer works more on the macro-circulation, geared toward dilating the blood vessels and at the capillary level to de-clump them to improve absorption of the IV therapies, metabolism, and detoxification.

infrared sauna

Infrared Sauna

Infrared Sauna heat penetrates bodily tissues, which in turn can produce a multitude of health benefits. One benefit is strengthening the immune system by stimulating the production of white blood cells, which promote healing and repair, maintain vascular health, and promote an anti-inflammatory state. Research shows the longer you stay in infrared, the better and more enduring these effects are.

Brain Tap Headset

BrainTap

We also offer a cutting-edge technology called BrainTap, aka Self-Mastery Technology (SMT), the MindFit Neuro-Trainer, a neuro-retraining device to balance your brain.

Additional Restorative Services

Other services clients may take advantage of include:
