Dr. Michael Meng is a highly credentialed and uniquely dual-licensed healthcare professional with a deep-rooted passion for healing and innovation.

As a national authority in musculoskeletal ultrasound, holding licenses as both a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine and as a Nurse Practitioner.

Dr. Meng blends traditional care with advanced diagnostic and interventional techniques to help our patients at Anatara Medicine regain quality of life.

He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Advanced Nursing Practice from United States University.

Driven by a desire to better understand complex pain conditions and provide more effective solutions, he completed a Fellowship with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and earned recognition as a Registered Physician in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (RMSK).

A third-generation chiropractor, Dr. Meng followed in his family’s footsteps, until he later discovered his true calling in musculoskeletal ultrasound shortly after graduating from Chiropractic School in 2003.

While working at Southern California’s largest rheumatology practice, he took a deep dive into ultrasound diagnostics and quickly became a leading expert in the field.

Over time, Dr. Meng transitioned into an independent role, providing ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures to numerous multidisciplinary clinics across California.

His expertise has been trusted by elite organizations including the United States Olympic Committee, Santa Monica Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, Anatara Medicine, Bio Reset Medical, and the Orthohealing Institute.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Meng is a published author and educator. His textbooks—including Complete Ultrasound Atlas of Painful Conditions, Complete Ultrasound Atlas of Guided Injections, and Complete Atlas of Interventional Pain Guided Procedures—are widely respected resources in the fields of pain management and diagnostic imaging.

He has taught musculoskeletal ultrasound for over 15 years and has more than a decade of experience in regenerative medicine and image-guided interventions.

Dr. Meng specializes in treating painful conditions that diminish quality of life, especially those that have not responded to standard of care approaches.

He is passionate about identifying root causes through advanced diagnostics and tailoring innovative, minimally invasive treatments for many of our patient’s needs at Anatara Medicine.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Meng enjoys a full and active life.

Originally from Missouri, he now lives in San Diego, California with his wife, their two college-aged children, and two Portuguese Water Dogs.

He is an avid mountain biker, skier, hiker, and boating enthusiast, and values nothing more than time spent with family.
